This fund was created by loved ones to help raise money for Tessa Louis and Logan York and assist them financially through these tough times after Hurricane Irma.
For those who know our family, Tessa Louis and Logan York have lived and worked on St. John USVI for nearly their entire lives. On Tuesday, September 5th, things took a turn for the worst when the category 5 Hurricane Irma tore its way across the Caribbean Islands.
While their safety is our top priority, and thankfully they made it safely back to Massachusetts, their responsibilities both in St. John and as expecting parents in MA are still very much a concern.
Due to Logan’s line of work as a charter boat captain back on the islands, he has no other choice then to return and Assess the unfathomable damage, loss to their home and property, and the health of their pets. There is still no form of contact in or out of the island, which makes it difficult for the two of them to communicate with each other.
Their baby boy is due in a month and without a permanent place to live and nearly everything that had been given or purchased for the baby’s arrival has be ruined or lost. With no viable living situation back on the islands, and no form of reliable income, Tessa and Logan’s last resort is to reach out to those who have anything to offer. With reoccurring bills to pay and a growing family, we ask that together we take some of the burden off by helping them get through these though times of uncertainty and stress.
The two of them refuse to ask for money, but we know a little goes a long way and whatever can be raised to help them is greatly appreciated. There is no donation too small. From our family to you and yours we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your constant support and hopeful wishes.
