Celine, our 23-year-old daughter, has been battling the effects of Long Covid ME/CFS for two years. She once had a normal life, a good job, moved in with her boyfriend, and had her own apartment and life.
  Now she has lost everything. We had to bring her back to live with us, where she is in a condition that severely impacts her daily life. We are desperate, having done everything imaginable and invested a lot of money ourselves in medications and alternative treatments.

She is bedridden and 100% dependent on care. This means she cannot eat, walk, or dress herself independently.

Her sickness benefit insurance expired in December 2023, and the process of reviewing her disability pension claim is dragging on endlessly.

Our financial resources for support have been exhausted.
  We now hope that HELP apheresis (blood washing), which has been medically recommended, can help her.

However, the health insurance does not cover this treatment.

To still provide her with this necessary treatment, we are launching this crowdfunding campaign.

Our goal is to raise enough funds to cover the treatment costs as well as any accompanying expenses, such as transport.
  We chose the GoFundMe platform because it is particularly suitable for medical purposes.
  We want to share Celine’s personal story with you. She will give a brief glimpse into her condition in a short video. She cannot speak for long as it is too exhausting for her. After exertion, there could be what’s known as a “crash,” which we want to avoid.

We believe that her story will touch many people and motivate them to support her.

As a token of our gratitude for every donation, we plan to send personalized thank-you cards and provide regular updates on Celine’s health condition.

Please help us spread the word about this campaign by sharing it on your social networks. Every Celine, unsere Tochter (23 Jahre), kämpft seit 2 Jahren mit den Folgen von Long-Covid ME/CFS. Sie hatte ein ganz normales Leben, hatte einen guten Job, ist mit ihrem Freund zusammen gezogen und hatte ihre eigene Wohnung und ihr Leben. Nun hat sie alles verloren. Wir mussten sie wieder zu uns nach Hause nehmen, wo sie und  in einem Zustand lebt, der ihr tägliches Leben erheblich beeinträchtigt. Wir sind verzweifelt, haben alles erdenkliche gemacht und viel Geld in Medikamente und alternative Behandlungen schon selbst  investiert.  Sie ist bettlägerig und zu 100% pflegebedürftig. D. h. sie kann nicht selbstständig essen, laufen und sich ankleiden.  Die Krankentaggeldversicherung KTG ist im Dezember 2023 ausgelaufen und die IV-Rentenprüfung zieht und zieht sich. Unsere finanziellen Mittel zur Unterstützung sind ausgeschöpft. Wir haben nun die Hoffnung, dass ihr die HELP-Apherese (Blutwäsche), die ärztlich empfohlen wird, helfen kann. Die Krankenkasse zahlt dies nicht. Um ihr diese notwendige Behandlung dennoch zu ermöglichen, starten wir diese Crowdfunding-Kampagne. Unser Ziel ist es, genügend Mittel zu sammeln, um die Behandlungskosten sowie eventuelle begleitende Ausgaben, wie Transport, zu decken.  Wir haben uns für die Plattform GoFundMe entschieden, da sie sich besonders für medizinische Zwecke eignet. Wir möchten Celines persönliche Geschichte mit euch teilen. Sie wird in einem kurzen Video einen kleinen Einblick in ihr Befinden geben. Sie kann nicht lange sprechen, weil es zu anstrengend für sie ist. Nach einer Anstrengung könnte es zu einem sog. Crash kommen, den wir vermeiden wollen. Wir glauben, dass ihre Geschichte viele berühren und zur Unterstützung motivieren wird.
