Help Matt get home

I'm currently stranded in The Phillippines. Due to covid, I was unable to renew my tourist visa and am currently overstayed. They have made the process harrowing and impossible to get my exit clearance because of this. I have extended my hotel stay and rebooked my flight 7 times. The immigration process here is truly awful. I have spent multiple days standing in line from 6:30am to 6:30pm without food, water or a bathroom break trying to get my visa fees paid so I can leave.

The people at immigration are ambivalent. They don't listen, they don't care, and they always tell you something different and likely untrue. I'm currently working with the embassy here trying to get home. I have never asked for money from anyone before, but I've always tried to be a generous person. Many of you who know me can vouch for this. I hate even the idea of asking for money but I am simply out of options. I will soon be on the street in a third world country.

I have already spent thousands on rebooked flights, hotel extensions and food. I don't know what to do any more and there's no one here who can help me. 

Manila just re-entered enhanced quarantine so I don't know when I'll even be able to make another attempt at going to immigration. There's no transportation available anyway. 

I am, in a word, screwed. All I'm trying to do here is raise money to keep myself afloat for the next 3 weeks until I get paid again. Hopefully by then I will have a solution to my problem.

I just want to go home. I will happily pay anyone back who donates.
