Ryan and Anna Teal

Ryan Teal. Anyone that knows him, knows certain things to be true: first and foremost, his love for Anna, she is his everything; his gift of debate, this guy can debate just about anything; his love of baseball and all things Cubs; his commitment to his chosen profession and his colleagues; his love and respect for his parents and family, his roots; his wit and his way with words; his character, his integrity, his loyalty, and his friendship. Ryan Teal is one in a million who steps up for his friends and loved ones without being asked, and without hesitation.

It's time for us to step up for him.

Ryan suffered a massive stroke shortly after midnight on Wednesday, February 7th. Anna awoke to hear him collapsing to the floor and becoming unresponsive. He was on life support and not breathing on his own for the first 12 hours. 

He is currently in the ICU fighting the hardest battle of his life. We do not know the full extent of the damage yet and are continuing to pray for healing, restoration, and wisdom as the doctors work around the clock for him.

We can't take the pain away or fight his battle for him, though we desperately want to. We can, however, try to take some of the financial strain from them. Anna has a lot on her right now. Much like Ryan, anyone that knows her, knows her love for him. Her world has been shaken and she's fighting her own battles while giving him the strength to keep fighting his. We, their friends, family, colleagues, and community, can help them by taking some of the stress and worry away. Help Ryan by helping Anna stress a little less about the financial aspect of this situation. Allow them to focus on him and his recovery.
