Dear Family and Friends,
Since the first-time Lillie and I discussed starting a family we have considered adoption. God blessed us with three wonderful boys (James 9, Jackson 9, & Davis 6). After having three boys, Lillie joked that the only way she would consider getting pregnant was if I could guarantee her it would be a girl. At this point we thought we were set as a family of five. We would occasionally discuss adopting, but the time was never right. The last few years, we have moved from Georgia to Mississippi to Louisiana and back to Georgia. Earlier this year, we felt God move through us and say, the time is now! After much discussion and prayer, we made the decision the time was right to adopt our future daughter, and become a family of six.
Again, God spoke to us and another thought on our heart, we then decided on Haiti as the country of origin for this child. After months of paperwork, classes, home studies, background checks, psych evaluations, etc., and many other tasks we are finally ready to submit our dossier. Our total costs for this adoption are projected in the range of $50,000. We have saved and are ready to absorb the majority of these costs but are looking for help to fill the gap. If needed we will borrow to fill that gap, but we are reaching out to family and friends to help in whatever capacity possible. We have set a goal for $15,000.
