Neighbors Helping Neighbors
The Honey Brook Food Pantry provides a 3-4 day supply of various food items on a monthly basis to neighbors in need within the Honey Brook community. Our mission is to serve them with respect while empowering them toward food security and independence.
We are a non-profit organization dependent on donations of food, supplies, and monetary donations to stock our shelves and carry out our mission. Individuals, businesses, schools, clubs, and service organizations are invited to help.
We serve approximately 250 families each month. Our clients include individuals, families, and senior citizens. Participants can choose between a day or evening distribution to accomodate work schedules.
There are no paid staff involved with the HBFP, but we are fortunate to have over 80 volunteers involved in the operation.
Large donations from markets, producers, and businesses are a big help. If you have connections or ideas on securing large donation support, please let us know.
YOU CAN HELP
Any size donation, large or small, is appreciated, and it all adds up!
Larger individual donations also go a long way and can be directed toward specific needs - see suggestions below. Donors will be recognized by the community.
$150 Eggs for one distribution
$450 Additional fruit or produce item for one month
$750 Meat for one distribution
$1500 Meat package for one month
$2500 Healthy food (meat/dairy) for one month
$3500 Commercial freezer
$11,000 Annual rent
$12,000 One year sponsorship of "Produce Corner" with signage
$75,000 One full year of operation
We are greatly in need of donations to help us address operating expenses. Any donation would be greatly appreciated and would help us continue to serve nearly 250 families each month. All donations are tax-deductible. We are a 501c3 (tax exempt) organization. Please visit our Facebook page and Website for additional information.
