Sandra Needs Our Help!  Help Save The Lives of These Innocent Animals!

My name is Helena Petrovich and I am organizing this fundraiser for Sandra (last name omitted to protect her) who I've known for many years now.

 She lives in Bosnia, where you can’t directly create GoFundMe fundraisers. That is
why I created this fundraiser for her. 

She is in a crisis right now that may very well end her ability to save any more animals or even care for them anymore. Their lives are literally at stake if we can't raise the money she needs very soon. Please read below for more of her story.....

I admire Sandra so much for her bravery and courage for the work she does to help a hundred or more street dogs (and cats) every year.


She has dedicated her life 100% to helping save the lives of street dogs and cats. This is what she does everyday 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  This is her life's mission, purpose, and passion.



I am often amazed at her strength, determination, and dedication in helping feed, find shelter, get veterinary care, etc for even the most injured and scared dogs that others just abandon or don't want to get involved with.

She is like a dog whisperer - she knows how to gain the trust of even the most traumatized dogs. She finds ways to help them even when they hide from everyone else. She shows them so much LOVE....




And they love her back...



She often says the love she receives from the dogs and cats she saves and works with is reward enough for her work.

Sandra literally lives for these animals but there are funding issues right now for her that are threatening her ability to continue her work.

That is why I am creating this campaign today.

Above and beyond her needs for food for the animals, veterinary care, medicines, etc

Beyond those, there are some other major expenses she must pay as soon as possible. 

There are a few of us who support her with some few donations, but there are not enough of us who can afford such a large amount of money and so quickly right now. If we can't raise this money her ability to continue saving these animals will be terminated.

We are praying that does not happen, but given the circumstances, through no fault of her own, this situation has come up and if we don't raise this funding goal of $15,000 as soon as possible  we are really afraid of what might happen to her and the animals. I'm am sorry I cannot give more details but we really are desperate and that is why we decided to try a Go Fund Me campaign.

Her ability to continue her rescue activities with be stopped and the animals will probably all be destroyed.

This is why there is such an urgency.

I've tried to share the essence of Sandra's story above and share some photos that show glimpses of her life. I will add a few more photos below as well.

Any amount of money that you can give right now will go directly towards funding this emergency situation and anything extra will be used towards the ongoing expenses of food, medicine, vet visits, supplies, etc.

Appreciation to you for your help would be an understatement!

Your donation will go directly to the mission of saving the lives of Sandra and her animals she loves so dearly. 




Sandra saw this dog on the side of the road that everyone left for dead.
She stopped to check.... he was alive....


She spoke to him with love, kindness, and compassion. She said the dog looked like it had given up hope. But after she spent some time with him he came around and she was able to get him in her car.

This was the same dog a day or two later. She still cares for him to this day. He's a good, happy dog now.


When she first started rescuing the street dogs she would find places she could stay with them for the night...
