Jordan Sheats Medical Expense Fund

If any of you have met Jordan, then you know how beautiful of a person she is inside and out. She's an amazing daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend. Jordan and her husband Nick have been married for twelve years and have four amazing kids: Jaxon (10), Juliana (9), Jediah (3), and Jocelyn (18 months). Nick and Jordan have both been working while Nick is finishing his degree. They are also volunteer youth directors at their church, and are very involved in all of their kids' extracurricular activities. Jordan is one of those people that immediately makes you feel like you belong. She makes you feel important not just with her words, but with her actions. If someone is in need she is one of the first ones there to help. She jumps into the fray without regard for how inconvenient or difficult it may be for her. To know her is to know her love.

Recently, the unthinkable happened.

Around 1 AM on Wednesday April 4th, Jordan called her husband, Nick, complaining of some awful pains in her head. Somehow she still had the consciousness to call 911, and then the pain became so unbearable that she screamed and collapsed. Luckily, her daughter Juliana, our hero, was able to help direct the emergency personnel and explain what had happened. Jordan, who is only 30 years old, had a massive brain aneurysm in the back of her brain that ruptured. This caused bleeding on the brain, which doctors were thankfully able to stop once she was in surgery. She has since been sedated to help the swelling in her brain go down. During surgery, the doctors had to sacrifice a vessel in order to get the bleeding to stop, but the doctors explained that this would mean that Jordan would have a stroke in the near future. Jordan had a stroke the next day. She is scheduled for more testing and will be in the Neurocritical ICU for the next 2-3 weeks. There are still many more hurdles to overcome, but we are praying and believing that God has his hand on Jordan and her family as they move toward the next steps.

Many of you have been asking how you can help. There are many ways you can, whether by bringing meals, offering emotional support for Nick and his family, praying, and also sharing and donating to this campaign. As you can imagine, all of this time in the hospital will have an astronomical cost for Jordan's family. While Jordan is recovering in the coming months, the biggest blessing we can give her is to help ease this financial burden.

Jordan is a perfect example of how to love others like Jesus did. Now it's our turn to show her that same love.
