Help Mario get back on track

As a young man who came from nothing, this camera meant the world to Mario Ramirez. It gave him a chance at being something he never thought would be possible.

On October 21st, those possibilities were taken from him, when he was volunteering to film the East LA classic at the LA coliseum. Mario Ramirez was preparing to capture another community event. However, things took a turn when a man illegally entered the media room stealing 2 cameras. One of those cameras belonged to Mario which instantly put his career on pause.

We are asking for your help, in getting Mario back on his feet. Please help ease the burden, and hardship that Mario along with his family are currently enduring.

Mario immigrated with his parents from Mexico to seek a better life, and over the years he has made strides in education, and his career to help his family and community. Mario is a 2016 Garfield high alumni, he enrolled in a video production class his Senior year and realized that this was his calling. He’s dedicated his life to creating a body of work he’s been proud of. Working jobs, he saved up enough to buy his first camera and video equipment. The same video equipment that was taken from him on October 21st.

Desde un comienzo Mario Ramirez ha venido de principios humildes, esta camara se significaba todo para el. Le abrio la puerta a oportunidades que el nunca creyo posible.

Este pasado Octubre 21, todo esas oportunidades se le fueron arrebatadas de el cuando acepto ser voluntario para grabar el clasico entre Garfield y Roosevelt en el coliseo. Mario se estaba preparando para grabar el evento cuando alguien entro al area restringida y robo la camara de Mario y su colega, poniendo su profesion en pausa.

Estamos pidiendo de su ayuda, para asistir a Mario y ayudarlo a conseguir los medios para que siga de pie y en marcha con su profesion por lo que tanto ha batallado el y su familia.

Mario y su padres imigraron de Mexico a Los Estados Unidos en busca de una mejor vida, y en los años recientes ha hecho gran esfuerzo en su educacion para ayudar a su familia y a su comunidad. Mario es graduado de Garfield high school del año de 2016. En su ultimo año de secundaria tomo una clase de filmaje y se duo cuenta que eso seria su futuro.
