Greetings from Di 1 and Only Belizean Flava Restaurant and Bar, located in Caye Caulker, Belize.
At our family restaurant we have been serving some of the best Belizean food you can find on our island home of Caye Caulker and we have been doing it for a long time! Like most of the businesses on Caye Caulker, we depend on tourism for our livelihood.
We closed at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in a local and national attempt to protect our community from the ravages of this virus.
Recently we returned to being opened every Sunday in hopes to make enough to support our staff. But it has not been sufficient. Bills are accumulating, hurricane season is upon us, and our country remains closed to tourism compounding Covid stress.
These are tough times for everyone. We will get through them if we keep working together, supporting one another and abide by the Covid-19 protocols.
It is hard to ask for help when there are so many in need. But we must – to stay in business and help others as well.
We have started a “Go Fund Me” account and are asking our friends and patrons to help with whatever donation they can to help us keep Belizean Flava going.
