<div>His name is Bear! He looks like a teddy bear!  Sweet and gentle and shy. My previous dog Murphy died last year. I was devastated.  I supported this local shelter and their events. I donated money to purchase a brick in Murphy’s memory. Contacted the shelter many times No Brick and it’s been over a year.  Called again and in conversation they mentioned a litter of puppies. That’s when I fell in love with Bear.  The shy boy came immediately and sat in my lap.  He picked me!  Visited him twice a week, until I was told the pups were in medical isolation due to a bacterial infection for two weeks.  Then they extended the time. A few days later they were all neutered!!!!!! I was texted I could bring him home after two days.  I waited a few extra days so he could heal.

<div>I bonded with this little pup and never expected this next turned into a mess.  I took him home and was beyond excited. My heart was filled with joy.  That night I noted green fluids coming out from his nose. But in the morning it was crusty. I called the shelter and it did not open until 10. So I took the pup to my vet immediately. They told me he had the bacteria infection and now it was pneumonia!!!   I called the shelter and they offered to bring me meds later in the day.  I just wanted to get the treatment started immediately and it was just 40 dollars. For the next few days I sat with him every two hours day and night giving steam from my shower. He seemed very tired but the color of the fluids were a bit better. Repeated calls for assistance from vet.  On Friday I took him back to the vet. She noted his condition was worse he needed fluids and more!!! I left him for hours for his treatment.  Then they called and recommended immediately take him to a medical ER, he needed oxygen and more care than  they could provide.  I can’t tell you how my heart sank!   My friend and I immediately took him. They believe his lungs are week and he would need treatments for 24-72 hours.  The care is very expensive and I can’t do this alone anymore.  I need your support.  I need a night to sleep and as many of you know I rarely ask anyone for help. I have also reached out to the shelter.  They are questioning why I said he was happy on Monday and did not call them on Tuesday ! I am not making this a nasty situation. I expected they would help with the costs considering they new he was sick when I adopted him!  I have pictures showing the crust around his nose!  They offered my to take him to their facility.

<div>would you take your dog there?  This poor dog went to two different vets in a matter of a few  hours on oxygen and it would require well over an hour to drive. Would you trust this staff after they neutered this sick pup at 3.5 months old ??! I prayed as to what the right thing to do for this young pup and remain calm.  I do not want to make this political.  My concern is the life of this poor pup who has had a miserable and tragic life so far.  It’s up to God to see him through. I can’t pay beyound today. I hope everyone involved will do the right thing and stand by their dedication for their love of dogs.  I appreciate and love you all.  It’s been a learning experience for me to have a voice and never be afraid to get a bit of help from my friends.
