Help TJ With Medical Bills

Donation protected
Hi. My name is TJ. I know 2020 has been rough for a lot of us, myself included. Along with the stress of a global pandemic, for me this year has meant a car accident forcing me to get a new car and having a heart attack at 27 and all the medical bills that come with that. I never ask for money, but I have to swallow my pride on this one.

I’ve had heart problems most of my life. I have a heart condition that, despite the countless number of doctors and professionals I've seen, can't be figured out or recognized. It started back in middle school: I blacked out during class, went to the hospital, and they told me that I had a heart condition - a heart arrhythmia. At the time all they told me was that if I stopped having caffeine in my diet everything should be fine, and I should outgrow it. Then things started to change... in April of 2019 I started having moments when my heart would freak out, and I started feeling pain in my chest even though I wasn't doing anything physically demanding. When I ran or did do physically demanding tasks, I literally felt like I was dying my heart would go so fast. Despite multiple doctors and extensive tests, including some clearly showing my heart speeding up, slowing down, and just stopping for dangerous amounts of time, I was told there was nothing else I could do and that it was all in my head.

For the next year and a half, I bit my tongue whenever there were any heart health issues, because I had people telling me that I was okay and that this was just my "new norm". That the chest pains, cartoonish heartbeats, and even passing out is just my new way of life. Then in October of 2020 I had a heart attack at work. A heart attack for a 27 year old is rare - I received extensive tests at the hospital. For a diagnosis, I’ve been told everything from aFib, heart arrhythmia, tachycardia, to cardiomyopathy, but I have yet to be told any solution how to fix this. I continue to have similar episodes with my heart, but fear going to the hospital due to the medical bills. I'm beginning to really stress out about the bills (which keep coming), and I can only assume the added stress isn’t good on my heart either.

So I need your help. I am raising money to help with my medical bills. I currently cannot afford them on my own along with all my other daily living expenses. I currently don't have health insurance because of my heart condition - the lowest possible monthly payment is not feasible for my budget with the job I have at this time. Just a few days ago, I got a bill for $1,335 (from the October visit). I'm already paying $100 a month to cover one of my larger medical bills (over $10,000). I was luckily able to make a payment plan for it, but I still have to pay rent, utilities, my car loan...

My goal here is $5,000, as I know I have at least that much in medical bills so far. But anything you are able to support me with, even if it is only $1.00, all adds up in monthly payments. I’d greatly appreciate it. Your donations will be used for my medical bills or for daily living expenses like rent. Your support will help me handle and cope with my undiagnosed heart condition until, hopefully, there will be a permanent solution. Thank you for your time, and I hope that 2021 is a much better year for you than 2020 was. Until the hall, skál.
