My Loving Mother

Rita came to the United States from Cuba in 1962 to pursue a better life for herself. She has lived a wonderful life as a mother/father raising her two children Diana , and Jorge who've become parents themselves and she now has 3 beautiful grandchildren 1 great grandchild with another on the way.

In 2007 she was diagnosed with breast cancer and fought hard to overcome it. Since then she has become a three-time surviver to breast, thyroid and lung cancer and has persevered through much support and love from family and friends.

Through all of her fighting Rita has become very fragile and has had several medical conditions the latest being kidney failure where she had 2 dialysis treatments and her doctors fear it may be a treatment that she will have to endure on a weekly basis for her survival. Due to her health deteriorating, Rita needs to have a caretaker with her at all times. Her daughter Diana has had to resign from her job to become her caretaker because she has not been able to find a way to cover costs for a professional.

Diana has created this page in hopes to raise funds to be able to cover the costs of a caretaker so that she may be able to go back to work to continue to support her family. Any donation will help and will go a long way to help Rita and her family as she continues to fight for her survival.
