Stormy is doing fairly well these days! While it was warm out, he only came inside to eat and get a bit of attention, but now that the weather is changing he's spending more time indoors napping. However, he continues to be an outdoor cat (the litterbox is still a mystery to him) and that requires ongoing medical care. His health plan costs $32/month and covers almost everything. The occasional tests or medicines are extra. During this past year, I have relied solely on donations to keep up with the payments. I'm so thankful for all of your generosity!
Currently, Stormy is on antibiotics for a persistent upper respiratory infection - he hates the medication but is very good while I'm trying to squirt it into his mouth! And he has a check-up next week to see if it's working. Hopefully, we won't have to upgrade to the stronger, more expensive medication.

My porch cat needs to go to the veterinarian ASAP. This cat, whom I call Stormy, has been living on my porch for several months now. I've been trying to get him adopted with no luck. In July I took him to the clinic where he was neutered and received a rabies vaccine, but he still needs some other treatments that I alone can't afford. I'd been waiting until I have enough money, but I think he might need to see a vet sooner than that.
I've just discovered he has tapeworms, and I'm concerned about his snuffy breathing and occasional cough.
I found a vet with a payment plan, but it doesn't include the cost of special treatment such as antibiotics. I also need to buy a hard plastic cat carrier so Stormy can't pee in my car again.
Eventually I want to transition him to an indoor cat, but he must be cleared by a vet first so I don't expose my other elderly cat to any illnesses.
