Help Isaac get a wheelchair accessible car!
Donation protected
Zaccy and his Dad are gearing up to run City2Surf this year, with Zaccy clapping for the other runners (and probably dozing off halfway up ‘Heartbreak Hill’ in the pram!)
Our little red-headed boy, with his beautiful smile and fierce determination, was recently diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) - a condition that affects 1 in 3500 precious boys like Zaccy.
Zaccy is a happy and joyful little boy who is working incredibly hard to learn to walk. However, in time, rather than getting stronger, DMD will mean his muscles will become weaker, and over time, he will lose the skills he has worked hard to gain.

When we think of all that is to come with Zaccy’s future, it can feel overwhelming, and there is so much we feel we need to be able to care for and provide for him.
Funds raised through this campaign will directly contribute to a new “zoom for Zaccy” by helping his Mum and Dad purchase a wheelchair-accessible vehicle for Zaccy ($60K) that will be required as his care needs increase over the coming years. Additionally, a portion of the funds raised will be allocated to DMD research, supporting scientists and doctors in their quest for breakthroughs that could change the lives of other boys like Zaccy, living with DMD.
In all of this, despite the sadness we feel over this diagnosis and what the future may look like, Zaccy is a great joy in our lives, and we thank God for him. And ultimately, we cling onto the hope that Jesus is coming back, and when he does, there will be no more DMD, Isaac’s body will be strong and he will be able to run to meet his King Jesus.
Please consider donating, running or sharing this fundraiser to support us to raise funds for Isaac’s accessible vehicle and to support DMD research.
