Hello, my name is Marley and I have started a fundraiser for my best friend, and light in my life.. my cat zola. Zola has recently turned 4. She is a young, playful, hilarious cat whom i’ve grown to adore over the years. She has always had the biggest personality and never failed to put a smile on our faces. Her favourite things are meal time.. playing in the sun and with her toys, playing hide and seek, and she loves to cuddle up with my mom to sleep at night. It has meant everything to me over the years, learning how to understand her behaviour and language, when she is happy and excited.. and I am so happy to say that she is a very happy and loving cat.

Recently, we figured out that zolas eye started looking weird and abnormal. She has become less playful and her behaviour had been off. She startles herself with things she normally plays with, and eating has become a little tricky for her as well. We later discovered that she may be suffering from nerve damage in her right eye.

We stopped our nightly routine to take her to the vet immediately when it became a worry and they told us that the cause is unknown, and that they’ve never seen anything like this before. The conclusion they could make could only be based off of a few minor tests. The veterinary encouraged us to take Zola for an MRI so that we can know for sure what is going on, so that we can treat it. It hurts me to know that Zola is scared and could be uncomfortable or in pain, and there’s nothing we can do until we know how to treat it. It hurts me even more to know that whatever she’s suffering could get worse, cancerous, or be life threatening and we don’t have a clue.

I have started this fundraiser to try and raise $3000 to get Zola her MRI so that we can do everything we can do help her.
