Zoey Renae

In 2011 Zoey was diagnosed with mid-abdominal coarction,  renal vascular stenosis, left ventricle atrophy & severe hypertension. Since this initial diagnosis she has had 5 angioplasty,  3 on her renal arteries & 2 on her carotid arteries. She has also had renal bypass surgery. We were told she would only need 1-2 more bypass surgeries & then she would be OK. They were wrong. In October 2015 we found out that she has fibromuscular dydplasia. This disease is rare & long-term. She will never get better. This disease affects the entire body. It closes off her arteries, blocking blood flow to her vital organs. There will be many more surgeries. Dr's have stated that children won't be a possibility for her. This disease can cause her to have a stroke, aneurysm or heart attack at any time. She just turned 6.  We are awaiting a date for her next surgery, which will be within the next 2 months. We don't know what to expect. We are asking for prayers more than anything! Any donations will go to medical expenses. We aren't sure if we will be going to Duke or if this will be the surgery that finally sends us to Michigan. Anything helps. God bless you all.
