Zoey’s Christmas Angels

Hello!  My name is Julie Bennett.  I run a local daycare.  For the last 4 years my daycare has sponsored local families in need to provide the children with a Christmas that their parents wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford.   No parent should have to decide whether to put  food on the table or presents under a Christmas tree.  We saw a need and wanted to help so we got involved.  The first year was relatively small with only 17 children and in 2018 we helped 52 children receive their wish list items!!  In the past 4 years we have helped over 140 children.   We are hoping to make this 5th year the biggest yet. 

The reason I do this is because I feel compelled to help people.   I have always been a firm believer in Karma and what you put out into the universe will hopefully come back to you or the ones you love in some capacity.  In the last 2 years my mission has changed.   My family suffered a huge loss, my niece Zoey Daggett from Fairport, NY died of DIPG brain tumor July 4th, 2018, she was just 5 years old.  Zoey was the most amazing little girl!!  She was a bright light in any room and had the most amazing smile and contagious laugh.   Zoey fought her brain tumor with all she had.... she was so much stronger than I will EVER be.  The day we lost Zoey  to cancer our world became much darker.  

Zoey loved Christmas and she loved giving gifts and with the permission of her father (my brother) we changed the name to Zoey’s Christmas Angels and hope to continue her legacy and giving spirit.  

Our goal for 2019 is to not only give children in need a Christmas but to help provide a Christmas meal for the family.  This is where you come in...... We need help!  We can’t purchase all the gifts for the children and food for the families ourselves.    If you would like to sponsor a child or family dinner please reach out to me.   I can give you the wish list items for the child/ren  that you can mail to us or you can make a monetary donation to this campaign for gifts or dinner for the family and we will do all the shopping, wrapping, and delivering for you.
