Zoey Rose Swindall, 3 years old had surgery on February 21, 2022, at Cook's Children's Hospital to change the anatomy of her heart to improve the oxygen flow throughout her body. The surgery was unsuccessful and caused her to go into heart failure. On March 28, 2022 they went back to surgery to reverse Zoey back to her previous anatomy, hoping this would allow her to recover and treat her heart failure with medication. She will be at Cook's in the ICU for a while; there is no timeline. Every day is touch and go. Best case scenario, the heart failure meds will allow her to go home. In the event the medicine isn't successful, we face the possibility of transferring care to a transplant/heart failure facility.

David and Katie have two other children. David Jr. (DJ) 6 and Joey 1, who they have been separated from during this time. They have had to spend their time at the ICU with Zoey and have been unable to work. The Swindall Family is requesting your prayers at this time. However, if you feel compelled to give financially, it would be greatly appreciated to remove the financial burden of babysitters, travel expenses, lodging and household bills during this difficult time.
