Zoe's battle against leukemia

Donation protected
Zoe Yap is an energetic, fun-loving four year old who never tires of tickle fights and is endlessly generous with her affection. She loves L.O.L. dolls, blueberries, and her mama most of all.
Being the social and inquisitive four year old that she is, Zoe was excited to be starting transitional kindergarten in the fall. In preparation for TK, Zoe had to take a TB test and have a physical exam with her pediatrician. When the results of her routine tests came back irregular, her pediatrician ordered further testing which led to an emergency room visit at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Thanks to the quick and attentive work of the doctors, nurses, and staff of CHLA, Zoe was diagnosed and started on a treatment plan within days of her arrival at the hospital.
Her diagnoses: B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. While heartbreakingly frightened to have her daughter diagnosed with leukemia, Zoe’s mother and doctors are hopeful that she will return to full health, with treatment.
Current course of treatment: chemotherapy. Zoe’s mother, Yuni, will be administering the treatment from home with weekly visits to the hospital.
Zoe and her big sister, Bella, are truly blessed to have a mother as unfailingly generous and hardworking as Yuni. As a single parent, she lives and breathes for her daughters. From her quick visits home between jobs to shower her girls with kisses, to the barrage of pictures she takes (and, later, admires while working) of their time together: Yuni’s unfailing devotion to Bella and Zoe is evident in everything she does.
Likewise, those of us fortunate enough to work with Yuni throughout the years have been similarly charmed by her presence in our lives. To know Yuni is to love her. Her thoughtful nature, kind heart, and positive attitude make her the honorary mama bear of our work place. So, when we heard of the tragedy that had befallen her family, and the struggle that lay ahead for her sweet Zoe, her friends and coworkers were immediately mobilizing and searching for ways to help. In less than a week, Yuni and her family have been completely overwhelmed with gratitude for the thoughts, prayers, and visits that have come their way.
This campaign was started by Yuni’s friends as a way to facilitate the delivery of donations while Yuni takes time off of work to care for her daughter’s medical needs from home. A donation in any amount is received with the most sincere and humble gratitude.
Love and well wishes,
Yuni’s Lazy Dog Family
