Zobran's Student Athlete Journey

Zobran is a 14-year-old soccer player from Chigoli Academy in Malawi. This Spring he was awarded a  scholarship to attend a prestigious boarding school in Connecticut, USA. In Fall 2018 he will enter the 9th grade and begin his student athlete journey in the United States. 

Chigoli Academy identifies gifted children from all over Malawi then invests in them heavily and holistically, to offer them pathways out of poverty - guiding them down pathways towards previously unattainable opportunities in soccer and education.  Zobran is the academy's first player to graduate the program and serves as a role model and inspiration to the other players at Chigoli.

We are fundraising towards the many expenses not covered by Zobran's scholarship award.

- Additional School Fees and Costs (Computer, Support Services, Activities): $8,500
- Flights between Malawi - USA x 2: Approx. $4,000
