Cambodia Mission Trip 2018

Hi everyone,
I have been given an incredible opportunity to go on a mission trip to Cambodia this November!!! I'm super excited and wanted to share this amazing news with you all!
In 1975 Cambodia experienced a mass genocide when the Communist Khmer Rouge forces overtook the capital city of Phnom Penh. It is estimated that 20% of the population died during this time due to execution, starvation, or forced labor. In 1978, Vietnam invaded Cambodia which lead to a civil war lasting almost thirteen years. With the loss of 1.5 million Cambodians, 50% of the current population is under the age of 18. With such a young population and poverty rampant, 45% of children suffer from malnutrition, 36% are involved in child labor, and 25% never finish primary school.
We'll be partnering with ICF Cambodia whose "mission is to spread the gospel and break the cycle of poverty by empowering people to achieve their God-given potential." They are working to achieve this mission through multiple efforts including feeding programs, first aid, child sponsorship, and incredible kids ministries. They have a program in which they intentionally pick up children from all over to come to their Kids Church by transporting them in rental buses.
Last year, Liberty Church was able to purchase one of the 18 buses used for their bussing program through the generous giving of our members. We hope to continue to strengthen this partnership with them through this mission trip by putting "boots to the ground" as they say, and I am so very excited to be a part of this team.
That being said, I could really use your help in funding as this is completely voluntary and out of pocket for me. I am looking to raise $2500 as soon as possible, as deadlines are fast approaching, to help cover the cost of the trip as right now the breakdown is flight ~$1300 and trip fees that will include hotel/meals/transportation to be ~$1000-$1300. Anything donated above the trip costs will go towards much needed medical supplies that I will purchase to donate to the center for their first aid efforts.
All of the funding efforts will go directly to me to assist in my personal costs, NOT Liberty Church or ICF Cambodia.
