Rodney Taylor Memorial fund

Rodney Taylor was an artist. Rodney Taylor was a husband,  a father and a friend.
He loved Steely Dan, Charles Mingus, Mikes Davis, Ricky Lee Jones and Fela.
He loved to take me dancing and enjoyed playing and watching basketball and drinking good chocolate milk.

He was an unapologetic artist and Black man who loved making art, seeing art and arguing about art and artmaking.

Rodney Taylor was a channel. He absorbed the challenges and problems of the world and those he loved, translating emotions and feelings into visual works of art that mimic dreams, memories, and whispers.

He taught me how to love unconditionally, blessing us with four incredibly smart, witty, talented and brave beautiful humans that love and support each other.

His death took us by surprise and we grieve our loss and the loss to the art community.
He was 53.

The money you donate will be used for his cremation, the memorial celebration and to settle outstanding medical and personal debt. Any leftover funds will be used to help our children that are still in school.
I will be in charge of these funds and I appreciate your time and generosity.

Rodney Taylor will be showing work at the new Albright Knox  Northland 612 Northlnd avenue, Buffalo, ny
January 17 thru April 12, 2020.  The show is called "Open House: Domestic Thresholds"
Please attend and see who he was thru his work.
Thank you
