Nolan's Recovery

Nolan is 8 years old and just started 3rd grade recently in August. His friends and teachers LOVE him and they are all devastated just as much as we are. Nolan is extremely talented at any sport he tries. He especially loves football, basketball and motocross.
Nolan was rushed to the emergency room in a catatonic state after he randomly became very loopy and didn't know where he was on August 24th. He stayed in this catatonic state for a few hours while they did testing which wasn't answering any questions. He was transferred by ambulance to childrens hospital in aurora and he was acting more like his self and coming out of this state. He was able to eat and tried to fall asleep but unfortunately he started hallucinating badly and having serious paranoia. It took many of us to hold him down and calm him down for a couple hours. They gave him some medication that helped calm him and he eventually fell asleep. He stayed asleep from 3am-10am and finally woke up acting much more like his self. The lumbar puncture, cat scan and mri didn't show anything abnormal. The said he did not ingest anything, no head injury and no meningitis. They are continuing to run tests.
Unfortunately after lots of tests there are still no clear answers. We hope that further testing will explain all this. We ask that you please keep Nolan in your thoughts during this difficult time. He will need time to come out of this and recover. If you are able to contribute towards this fund we would greatly appreciate every cent that is donated. We are currently in the process of buying our first house and now with all his medical bills we are not sure how we will make it all work. Nolan is a fighter though and wants to get back to his normal self asap. His sister misses him so much. We can't wait to have him back home with us.
UPDATE - Nolan has left the hospital and is back home now as of 8/26! He has to take the week off, maybe a couple hours of school later this week. We are so happy to have him home!
