Hello family and friends. It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce the time has come to prepare for our mother, Glenda Edwards, to return home.
About two years ago my mother became ill, shortly after she retired. The last two years Mother had been in and out of the hospital, undergone extensive testing, and made many trips to her local doctor and her neurologist. During these tests there had been no clear explanation on why she became so ill. There were several suggested illnesses (ALS, Stroke, Muscular Dystrophy, Muscular Sclerosis and Severe Neuropathy) but nothing for sure until this past Saturday, March 03, 2018.
On March 02, 2018 mom was rushed to Providence Hospital for pulmonary complications. Once there, she was diagnosed with severe pneumonia due to aspiration. On Saturday we met with the attending doctor who informed us that Mom’s condition was terminal and she didn’t have long to live. Mom was discharged the next day, returned home via ambulance, and placed under the care of Hospice. We have been told it will only be a few weeks before her Lord Jesus comes to carry her home.
This has hit us hard and we are very unprepared. I am asking our family and friends to help us get our mother back home to Colorado City for her burial when the time comes. If you find it in your heart, any donation will be helpful and very appreciated by our family. May the Lord bless you all.
