Zimmerman Medical Campaign

As many of you know the Zimmerman family (Jason, Melissa and Jaxon) have been facing difficult times with the diagnosis of Jason’s cancer.

Jason was first diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in February of 2016. Cancer was found in Jason’s colon and had metastasized to his liver.  After undergoing several rounds of chemo, multiple surgeries and many hospital stays, he was declared cancer free in December 2016.

Tragically, six months later, Jason got the news that cancer not only returned but had also spread to other areas.  Beginning in June of this year, Jason has been undergoing bi-weekly chemo treatments again. After twelve rounds of chemo, Jason is now needing to go to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas for a highly specialized surgery called HIPEC. This invasive surgery will require a lengthy recovery expected to be four to six weeks long in the Houston hospital. During this time, Melissa and Jaxon will need to travel back and forth between Phoenix and Houston.

For all of you that know Jason, you know what a positive person he is and how much he likes to help others. You may also know the Zimmermans are a family that rarely asks for help, so we are doing the asking for them.

Besides the emotional toll of having to battle cancer, the Zimmermans are facing extensive expenses including medical bills, flight costs and hotel stays. As friends of the Zimmerman family, we want to create this go fund me page to help lessen their financial burden.
