Zimbabwe Citizweans Mobile Clinics

Doctors and key health personnel have been on strike in Zimbabwe. There has been limited service at government hospitals. A number of patients have been turned away. The government responded by firing 77 doctors who mainly serve the poor folks. To cushion the poor in our communities, we intent to run mobile clinics in less privileged suburbs of Bulawayo and Harare.
WHAT WILL THE CLINIC DO
The plan is to work with volunteer doctors/nurses/pharmacists who will make routine visits to different areas to provide primary care to the vulnerable like children and the elderly especially those with chronic illnesses like diabetes.
Where possible the doctors and nurses can make home visits especially for the elderly.
We will also liaise with pharmacies so we can provide coupons to patients who cannot afford medication so they can get their prescriptions filled.
WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?
For health professionals we are looking for more volunteers. Kindly register with us to help our citizens https://citizweans.kickoffpages.com/ . For our friends across the globe we need your help to purchase basic medical supplies that include latex gloves, non-prescriptive medicines, stationary, fuel and allowances for our volunteers. This depends on our collective response. We did this before and we will surely do this again. Donations can be received through this GoFundMe page and Ecocash.
WHAT WILL THE MONEY BE USED FOR
We intent to use most of the money for transport and medical supplies. We will also provide basic allowances to the volunteers to meet travel and food costs.
WHO WILL MANAGE IN ZIMBABWE
We will work with our network of volunteers led by Wellington Mahohoma who has helped with previous funds we have great trust in their ability to get aid where it is needed.
HOW WILL THE MONEY REACH ZIMBABWE
The money will be sent to Zimbabwe through either World Remit , Western Union or Mukuru.com.
WHO ARE WE
My name is Freeman Chari , a Zimbabwean based in USA. I am also a Biomedical Scientist who worked at Chitungwiza and Beatrice Infectious Diseases Hospital before.
I have coordinated a number of relief and emergency efforts in Zimbabwe. In March when Zimbabwe was hit by Cyclone Idai we raised $106K which went towards relief and rebuilding efforts. The campaign can be seen here Zimbabwe Cyclone Relief and below are some of the pictures of what we built.

HOW WILL WE ACCOUNT
Like we have done with the Zimbabwe Cyclone Relief, we will provide regular updates and accounting to the satisfaction of the donors. We will try to keep records of each transaction, the medicines purchased and any other costs incurred. Those will be shared here and an accounting breakdown too. Should we raise a lot more to warrant an audit will do so like we did with the Cyclone Funds.
