<div>My name is Steve, and I’m reaching out for support as I navigate a difficult time. In late July I suffered a shoulder injury that left me unable to work for about three weeks. I drive for Uber, which has been my main source of income since the start of the year. This sudden loss of work has made it challenging to keep up with my rent, other bills, and upcoming therapy costs.

<div>I’m currently handling these challenges on my own, without support from family or community organizations. On top of my injury, I’ve also faced ongoing harassment, stalking, and retaliation from two former employers for nearly the past three years, which has made it even harder to find stability. For the last 9 months, I’ve dealt with stalking and police surveillance, adding to the stress and uncertainty in my life.

<div>Additionally, in August my car got towed and one of my tires popped and needed to be replaced. Then tragically my dog had to be put down on September 5th after a painful bout with cancer. I am now behind on rent for two months and facing eviction.
