Carol Grippe's Cancer Fight

Carol was recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (cancer of the bone marrow). She has started a type of treatment that is very costly. Although some of the treatment costs are covered by insurance, it will be hard to make ends meet now that she is retired. Since her diagnosis she has been hospitalized three times. Each time for almost a week. The bills from the hospital stays are piling up.

In addition, Multiple Myeloma in the advance stages causes the bones to spontaneously fracture and Carol is dealing with the pain from several fractured bones making mobility very difficult. Therefore, Carol, and her husband Phil, also need to find new housing that will accommodate both of their health care needs. Their current home has only one bathroom located on the second floor. Not only is it unsafe for her to climb stairs, it is very painful.  Our hope that these added financial stressors can be eliminated or significantly reduced in order for her to concentrate on fighting the good fight and to focus solely on her health. I am reaching out to all the lives that Carol has touched in one way or another and asking for assistance.

For all of those who know Carol, you know that she is a loving, compassionate, giving person. She is a devoted mother not only to her own children but to all the children she has welcomed into her home through her daycare. Throughout the decades she has taken care of many kids, caring for them and loving them unconditionally. She is an extraordinary grandmother, wife, sister and a true and loyal friend. She is someone that you can always turn to in time of need or just when you need someone who will listen. Now Carol desperately needs your help.
