Steph and Tim have always wanted a family, and knew their journey to becoming parents would be difficult. Steph was diagnosed with cancer at 27 years old, and prior to starting chemotherapy she underwent oocyte cryopreservation to preserve her fertility. After their wedding, Steph and Tim started fertility treatments including medicated cycles with Clomid and IUI. When those were unsuccessful they moved on to IVF, which has also been unsuccessful. Steph was diagnosed with breast cancer in her other breast during IVF stimulation. She underwent a bilateral mastectomy and is now cancer free!
With their failed efforts to have biological children, Steph and Tim have turned to adoption. They both desperately want to be parents and to have a family. All the treatments they have endured have been a significant financial burden, and adoption also comes at a high cost.
