<div>My name is Simon Clark. In October 2019, I was left for dead at the roadside — my body shattered, my neck broken, my aorta torn wide open. The Great Western Air Ambulance Charity crew called me “the most broken patient” they’d ever seen. And yet, I survived.

<div>What Happened to Me
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A catastrophic head-on collision tore my world apart in an instant. My partner of 22 years, Lindy, was killed. I was left with:

</div>
<div>	•	Punctured lungs
</div>
<div>	•	Extensive brain damage
</div>
<div>	•	A shattered pelvis, ribs, hips, breastbone
</div>
<div>	•	Three broken vertebrae — effectively decapitating me
</div>
<div>	•	Multiple ruptured organs
</div>
<div>	•	Paralysis from the neck down
</div>

<div>I spent over two months in a coma. Doctors said I’d never walk, talk, or breathe independently again. That I would never leave my hospital bed.

<div>But I did walk out — six months later.
</div>

<div>This isn’t just about me. This is about the people who saved me — and the thousands more they will save.

<div>I am raising £4.5 million — the equivalent of just one year’s operating costs for the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity.

<div>They gave me my life back. Now I’m devoting the rest of it to helping them — and inspiring others to never give up.

<div>	•	Highlands of Iceland — 10 days across some of the most dramatic scenery on the planet, a major volcanic eruption hit at the end of the trek

<div>	•	Romania — tracked bears through the mountains of Transylvania 
</div>
<div>	•	Mount Toubkal, Morocco — returned to climb it months after surviving the Marrakech earthquake
</div>
<div>	•	Everest Base Camp, Nepal — fulfilling a promise I made from a hospital bed
