<div>Simon H Clark | Mission: £4.5 Million for the Air Ambulance That Saved My Life
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Welcome, and thank you for being here.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Simon Clark. In October 2019, I was left for dead at the roadside — my body shattered, my neck broken, my aorta torn wide open. The Great Western Air Ambulance Charity crew called me “the most broken patient” they’d ever seen. And yet, I survived.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This page is my promise to them — and to everyone fighting for life against impossible odds.

</div>
<div>What Happened to Me
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A catastrophic head-on collision tore my world apart in an instant. My partner of 22 years, Lindy, was killed. I was left with:
</div>
<div>	•	A torn aorta
</div>
<div>	•	Punctured lungs
</div>
<div>	•	Extensive brain damage
</div>
<div>	•	A shattered pelvis, ribs, hips, breastbone
</div>
<div>	•	Three broken vertebrae — effectively decapitating me
</div>
<div>	•	Multiple ruptured organs
</div>
<div>	•	Paralysis from the neck down
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I spent over two months in a coma. Doctors said I’d never walk, talk, or breathe independently again. That I would never leave my hospital bed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But I did walk out — six months later.

<div>Why This Page Exists
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This isn’t just about me. This is about the people who saved me — and the thousands more they will save.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am raising £4.5 million — the equivalent of just one year’s operating costs for the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>They gave me my life back. Now I’m devoting the rest of it to helping them — and inspiring others to never give up.
</div>
<div><br />

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What I’m Doing To Raise It
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This isn’t a one-off fundraiser. This is a lifelong mission.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>✔ Past Challenges Completed
</div>
<div>	•	Pen-y-Fan, South Wales — my first summit after paralysis
</div>
<div>	•	Mount Snowdon, UK — so hard I couldn’t walk for three days after
</div>
<div>	•	Highlands of Iceland — 10 days across some of the most dramatic scenery on the planet, a major volcanic eruption hit at the end of the trek
</div>
<div>	•	Romania — tracked bears through the mountains of Transylvania
</div>
<div>	•	Mount Toubkal, Morocco — returned to climb it months after surviving the Marrakech earthquake
</div>
<div>	•	Everest Base Camp, Nepal — fulfilling a promise I made from a hospital bed
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div> Current Challenge
</div>
<div>	•	The Sahara Expedition — an overland journey through Morocco’s mountains and deserts
</div>
<div>	•	The North Pole — training for an expedition across the frozen Arctic, against all odds
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div> Future Challenges
</div>
<div>	•	South Pole Trek
</div>
<div>	•	The Explorers Grand Slam — a global expedition to the world’s extremes
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is a growing list. Each challenge is harder than the last. Because the stakes are higher than ever.
</div>

<div>How You Can Help
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is where you come in.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please consider one of the following ways to support this mission:
</div>
<div>	1.	Make a One-Off Donation — every penny helps
</div>
<div>	2.	Set Up a Monthly Gift — even £5/month could fund a life-saving mission
</div>
<div>	3.	Share This Page — awareness saves lives
</div>
<div>	4.	Sponsor a Challenge — brands and organisations, let’s talk
</div>
<div>	5.	Suggest a Challenge — If you can think of something to inspire people, let me know
</div>
<div>	6.	Media? Let’s Connect. I’m open to interviews, podcasts, speaking — anything that spreads the word
</div>
<div> 7. Shared Challenges. If this has inspired you to take on a challenge then let’s join forces to raise even more for the air ambulance charity.. or maybe you could suggest some challenges for me to try
</div>

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Why This Matters
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Air ambulances operate on donations alone. No government funding. Just people like you keeping them flying.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Without the Great Western Air Ambulance crew, I’d be dead. They performed a thoracostomy at the roadside. They restarted my heart. They gave me a chance.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now I’m giving everything I have to make sure others get that chance too.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>⸻
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Follow the Journey
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Photos, videos, updates, and behind-the-scenes content from every challenge will be posted here. You’ll see the highs, the lows, and the moments that change lives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>⸻
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Final Words
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This isn’t about ego or glory. This is about legacy. About giving back. About proving that even when the world tells you it’s over — you still get to choose your story.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I was told I wouldn’t survive the week.
</div>
<div>Now I’m walking to the ends of the Earth — so others can survive too.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for being part of this mission.
