Alex's wish

Alexandria was a healthy 14 year old and had just begun her freshman year in high school when she experienced sudden onset paralysis.  Alex was diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis, a rare auto immune disorder that causes many degrees of paralysis, Alex was left a T7 paraplegic and lost all use of her legs.
Since diagnosis Alex has proven to be the bravest person I know.  She has overcome so many hurdles and was dealt more than any 14 year old should have to endure.  Alex has participated in many therapies and has traveled the east coast looking for the best therapy and treatment.  During this time she has continued to pursue her dreams and lives her life in a postive manner, always with a smile on her face.
Alex has been dreaming of getting her license and an accessible vechicle, she recently received her permit and we were working with our state rehab office to help Alex get licensed and get a vechicle that could help her become more independent.  Our local rehab office recently lost over 1 million dollars in federal funding and Alex was dropped from the program, after 2 years of working with them,  because we do not financially qualify.  
I am a single mother of 2 and being a paraplegic has proven to be very costly, Alex's vechicle could cost us up to 50,000$ and her driving lessons are 100$ each and she needs 52 hours of driving to become licensed.  We have recently purchased portable hand controls so that we can teach Alex how to drive and to help reduce our costs, but Alex will still need a car taht is completely accessible so she may be independent. 
Alex has been saving her money and has worked hard to achieve her driving goals.
