Yesterday we went to the vet for what we thought was going to be a routine check up.
Day of appointment Zev was acting a bit sluggish and when we told them that they ran some tests and realized his abdomen was full of loose unclotting blood. We spent the rest of the day at another nearby animal hospital to find out he has a large mass in his liver that has ruptured.
If surgery is still an option the procedure will be estimated around $5,000 which is excluding the costs of hospitalization and the $1,500-$2,000 we have already spent on his medical expenses yesterday.
I'm just overwhelmed and stunned so I hope this makes sense and no one feel obligated to help but I just was given the advice to at least try making this and I appreciate any genrocity.
