Zeus's Spinal Surgery

I'm not sure where to even begin. My playful, active, ball-fetching, running buddy woke up this morning unable to walk. Yesterday he was running out in the backyard, today he cannot move, stand, or walk without assistance. As if getting attacked by two very large dogs a month ago wasn't enough. After spending an hour at my regular vet and 4 hours at a veterinary specialist ER, Zeus was diagnosed with intervertebral disc disease, meaning his spine is being pinched or crushed due to an intervertebral disc that has moved. Since this morning, he has gotten progressively worse. He is now unable to urinate or deficate and has no feeling or sensation from the waist down. I had no other choice but to turn to making a gofundme page. The surgery is estimated to cost $7,500-$8,500. As a nursing student, I just do not have that kind of money. I would never reach out for help if it wasn't truly needed. I am devastated at the fact that my poor dog cannot catch a break and this surgery is the only thing to help him. They told me there is a 90% chance he will walk again and I'm willing to do whatever I can to help him. Thank you all so much.
