Help Keep “Guess the Tunes” Alive!

I’m seeking funding to cover copyright permissions for my educational website, Guess the Tunes. This non-profit, end-of-term activity is a fun and interactive way for students to work in teams and guess the names of songs and artists from short clips.

With nearly 2000 tunes to choose from, plus special sections for “Guess the Lyrics” and “Guess the Famous Faces,” Guess the Tunes has become a favourite among teachers and students alike.

As a high school math teacher with a passion for creating engaging resources, I originally built this as part of my amateur website, Colmanweb. In 2024 alone, the site welcomed over 80,000 users—peaking at over 800 visitors guessing tunes on Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. It might even be the most popular math website during the holidays!

What started as a small project has grown into something much bigger, and I now need to ensure everything is fully compliant with music copyright laws. I’m crowdfunding £400-£500 to secure the necessary permissions and keep Guess the Tunes available for the next two years.
