We have been generously donated a decommissioned 57-seat coach which we are in the process of converting into an eatery.

The main purpose of this is to provide paid work experience for homeless and vulnerable people in a range of roles throughout the transition through to serving the general public, as well as offering workshops in cooking and preparing healthy meals, hospitality, communications, marketing, nutrition, and well-being from leading professionals in various sectors. It will also act as a hub of information for local services those in need may wish to connect with. All food we will be serving will be plant-based, locally sourced and where possible; organic.

We aim to install a small kitchen capable of holding 1-2 users, one single user toilet, a small display cooler, a host cabin at the drivers’ cabin and 8-10 tables to seat up to 16 customers at a time. Bristol City Council have agreed the coach can be situated in central Bristol giving it greater business potential but more importantly the optimal opportunity to help others.L

We sincerely believe this project can help improve the lives of so many people within our city and hope we can make this possible. Our obstacle currently securing the vehicle to ensure all doors lock and the conversion parts do not get stolen.

We recently relocated the vehicle to allow for easier access to speed up the conversion process and unfortunately on the first day there it had been broken into, dash board mirrors and windows broke! The police have been involved but have very limited resources and power in this situation, there has been drug abuse andother activities on the coach.

We therefore need to replace the things broken and damaged but also to ensure we have a more secure  vehicle.

As we have no funding this is a major set back and will cause a big delay for us getting this great project out help people. We appreciate every person who’s supported us this far and really appreciate any donations towards the new repairs.

Thanks
