Funding for Zena's care after injured by groomer

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Nellie. My 3 year old Great Pry, Zena,  has been injured while being groomed. It is my OWN  PERSONAL belief  that Zena was strangled by the safety lead being used as a hosting device or used as an immobilizing device to facilitate
holding ZZ in the standing position through out grooming.
On 3/24 I scheduled a mobile grooming appointment. When the groomer was  trying to walk Zena back up the driveway,   I could not believe what my eyes were seeing,  Zena was barely able to walk. I  had to pick her back half up to get her into our home. Zena collapsed only making it  8 to 10 feet feet inside the house. It was very obvious, something very, very bad happened to my Zena while in the care of the groomer. Zena was laying on the floor flaccid. Her tongue was swollen 3 to 4 times  it normal size and hanging motionless and  lifeless out the the R back corner of her mouth. Zena was not panting and appeared to have been in that state for some time. Her respirations were  greater then 80, her heart rate greater then 190, core temp above 103, Zena didn't have enough time or energy left in her,  to get to the ER Vet. I knew I needed to start a slow cooling process immediately or Zena was going to die. It took hours but Zena finally started coming  around.  It was by a pure  mircle combined with Zena's will to live that made her survival possible. For the next several days, Zena slept, her body was still  in the state of debilitating exhaustion, fatigue and severe pain. I had a tarred her on a dose of nueronrin to fight her discomfort.  Zena had tremendous difficulty walking sitting and was not able to squat at all. She refused PO intake for the first 48 hrs. On day 3,  she did start to drink and eat a small amount. I noticed that she would  drop several  pieces of kibble on the floor, and then  pick one piece up at a time and eat it, Zena also showed sign that ahe was having to swalloqing ahe woukd have to forcabl w swallow several times before hwr doos woukd mice down hwr esophagus.  forcible swallowing. This is far from normal.  Zena has not barked since the incident.  It took 10 days before Zena  was showinf me that she had recover enough physically  to go to the vet.  I did not foresee the reaction or behavior  displayed  by Zena when I attempted to have her jump in the Jeep. Zena qas petrified of getting into a vehicle and showing obvious signs of K9 PTSD.  With the help of 2 of my neighbors  Zena made it into the back seat safely.
At the vet  her exam revealed , Zena had a significatant decrease ROM in her R hip, with pain on palpation. This injury  was believed  to be most likely a  soft tissue injury, but the Vet could not rule out a.minor/ hairline fracture. The Vet found ZZ presented with  discomfort and pain in the lower half of her back. This  injury presented to more evident on  the L side  of her spine then on the right.  As I watched  the exam being performed,  I could see Zena's obvious discomfort as the Vet moved  down and around  on her  body.. Zena's  hip and back injury discomfort, explains why  Zena was unble to squat, sit  or walk. I felt sick as I had watched  how happy ZZ was trotting down the driveway , excited to be going to get groomed. I still can nitget  that vision of her  out of my  mind.
I  discussed  with the Vet, I very serious concern about how Zena eats
her  lack of barking  and  that Zena will vomit a significant amount of what she ate the day before and It appears that her stomach is not breaking down the solids that Zena takes in, just a portion is  being digested
The Vet noted what diagnostic testing was needed ASAP.  Obtaining labs and Xrays to view ZZ's upper airway trachea and esophageal areas is most important. There was no speculation on the location,  the severity or the cause of injury to ZZ-s  anatomy by the vet,  just  the probability that an injury may have  occurred. Unfortunately I know what the primary and most likely cause of this type of acute injury is and it turned my stomach over and over again.
As  I expected,  the groomer had no explanation as to how all these injuries occurred and has claimed no responsibility.  The owner of the company responded, via a lawyer, and claims that NO  injury occurred and takes NO responsibility
I have filed  all the appropriate complaints that could be filed.
I hope to get justice for ZZ and try to stop this from ever happening to another innocent animal.
I am on a fixed income, the diagnostic testing alone for her throat and lab work is going to cost $1700.00. and  does not include any treatment modalities.
Foe now Zena is at a compete stand still. I do not have the means to move forward with the cost of testing.  Until ZZ gets her testing completed,  treatment cannot commence, nor can the vet estimate her cost for treatment. This is nothing less then my worst nightmare come true.
So for now, Zena and I are doing the best that we can do.
I changed her food source, (several times) and I grind up any items that need to be broken down on small.pieces such as whole parts of chicken, and pork.  Protein is essential to ZZ's healing,  and I  try  to make sure  ZZ, gets a little extra  protein during one meal.  l wish I could do all three meals, but that is not possible right now.
Zena ia currently trying a short course of Homepathic Medicine. Thankfully that is being  provided free of charge to her.  I hope it helps ZZ. Unfortunately, for now  that is all I can do for ZZ.
This incident, makes me physically ill.
I feel that I have totally failed my ZZ . That guilt ia real and it never ends, it burns a bigger hole into my heart and soul everyday.  Zean didn't deserve this, no animal does.
Please, if you are in a position to help get Zena the care and treatment that she needs. To help  make right, this horrible wrong that has been done to Zena,  I would be forever grateful!!!!
May you, and yours, always be blessed.
Please feel free to share her gofund on your own social media.
Thank you!!
