Zena’s Hospital Bill

Hi, I’m Katie McDermott and I am raising money to help cover my dog’s hospital bill from this weekend. Zena is my 6 year old German Shepherd Dog, but to me, she’s so much more than just a dog... she’s  my very best friend in the world. I saw her for the first time when she was 2 days old and it was love at first sight. Throughout the last 6 years, she has been with me through my hardest moments. Zena has been my companion and my rock as I’ve faced loss, heartbreak, grief, and everything in between. I truly believe that I wouldn’t  have made it this far in life without her. I am dedicated to providing her with the best care and doing everything in my power to keep her safe and healthy. I took her to an emergency veterinary hospital on Saturday morning  where she was diagnosed with moderate to severe pancreatitis and gastroenteritis, which has caused her to be very ill and need extensive treatment, including hospitalization. The bill from Saturday alone was over $2000, and I had to use a credit card to pay it as I have very little money to my name right now. I graduated from college less than a month ago and have only been working a full time job in my field for 3 weeks. I’ve been trying hard to save money to buy a house and start paying off my student loans in a few months, which has proved to be extremely difficult and stressful. I already feel the pressure of having to pay off this $2000+ medical bill and get myself out of debt, and I know it’s going to be a struggle.
