Zelideth's Journey to Isreal

Donation protected
My mother, Zelideth Guerra, has been my hero for as long as I can remember. She is such an inspiring woman- strong, beautiful, smart, wise, courageous, kind and faithful, but most importantly she is love.  Erick and I will never be able to repay her for all the support she has given us throughout the years.  One could say, that as our mother it was her natural role to love and protect us, but the sacrifices she made in her life so that we could fulfill our dreams had no limits.  A selfless act that was truly remarkable.

Though her life has been filled with many blessings it has not been short of trials and tribulations. She came to this country as an immigrant with a small child. Despite being educated and cultured, she had to completely start over without any assurances of the future. Many told her to leave her young daughter back in Panama while she established a life here, but she adamantly refused. She raised two kids mostly on her own and put them through college despite the countless financial hardships that came her way, she never once complained.  When her son was 10 doctors found a massive tumor wrapped around his spine. She met this obstacle head on and carried her son through a life threatening surgery and months of recovery. Two years ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer and she never let this incredibly scary moment waver her faith.

You would never know from my mom’s attitude and spirit that she was enduring all these things. She is the kind of woman who is strong for others, so that we may find comfort in her. It’s what makes her thrive. It gives her joy and peace to know that she can be that for others in their time of need.

For many years my mother has dreamed of traveling to Israel on a spiritual mission with her Church.  For one life reason or another, we were never able to make this happen. Either some emergency happened and the savings needed to be used for something else, or simply it was not her time. We believe this year is different. This is her time. This is her moment. Her church has trip organized for June 20-29 of this year. So instead of birthday presents and I humbly ask that you please make a contribution to her travel fund- so we may finally make her dreams come true. Any amount will help. Our hope and prayer is to make this grand gesture as a thank you for all the love and kindness she has shown to others throughout her life.

Thank you
