Charles Zelez Memorial Fund

On December 11th I received a devastating call from my mother stating my fathers condition had severely changed and I was to immediately come to CMC Concord. I had no clue why or any real answers but I knew I had to be by my fathers side. He entered the hospital that Sunday with no signs that he would pass. He was set to be released from the hospital on December 13th but his condition deteriorated so quickly that his time on Earth ended at 9:47am Thursday the 12th. I cannot put into words the feelings and emotions my mother and myself are both carrying with us right now. All we can agree on at this time is that we are both happy my fathers suffering has ended and he is in a better place.

While in possession of my father's phone i've discovered theres several bills left behind. We've also received service fee information from the Funeral Home. Cremation (even discluding a memorial service) is very high.

My father's death was so sudden and all information pertaining to pension, benefits and potential life insurance policies is not accessable. He had no living will, nor is any of the account information for pension etc. available to my mom because he was the keyholder to all passwords, accounts, etc. He was receiving S.S. Disability through the state because he was so ill and those benefits will end upon his death. We won't receive any of this info of help until all death information is processed and turned over but we have to find a way to raise the funds necessary to cover the funeral costs. My poor mother is left with nothing, and as most of you know I lost my job the week before Thanksgiving and still have not found work.

I hate the thought of asking for help, but this entire scenario, and grieving the loss of my best friend and father has been a personal hell. I did not want to post this, but my mother and I need all the help we can get. All proceeds would go to the funeral fees and memorial service costs. My mother is still in a state of shock, and hasn't thought to have a service. My feeling is that my father, Charles Zelez was such a wonderful man and touched many lives so we should celebrate his life with a service.

Please if you can help, anything counts. My mother and I have absolutely no money whatsoever and just need all the support we can get.

We love you all and thank you,
Christine and Mary Zelez
