Latest update!
Autumn is back. Man this kid has 9 lives and we are so grateful that she does! From anxty teen, to plane crash survivor, to drug over dose and 3      weeks in a coma, to up and moving around. She still sounds like a stroke patient, but she is slowly coming back to us!! Go Autumn!!

Update to the Personal Crash.
I am sorry to have to share this news with you...
Autumn is now 19...

Today I share some horrible news, Autumn has been having a very hard time coping with the aftermath of the plane crash and the survivor's guilt. She has now had a personal crash of her own. She Overdosed on October 4th and her heart stopped. Thanks to the efforts of her amazing father and the medics, she survived and is in a coma. It has been a week and little has changed. They will transfer her 2 hours away to Seattle for further care and hopefully she will come out of this. We are all devastated. Dave now has to drive 2 hours to see his kid. He has spent all the time he can by her side in the ICU up until now. He needs help to be able to get to Seattle and see her. Gas is super expensive. (And a pipeline blew up in Canada, so the price is going up.) Can you help? Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Autumn Veatch: Plane crash survivor and amazing young woman.

On Saturday July 11, 2015 Autumn and her step grandparents, Lee and Sharon Bowman,  were on a flight from Kalispell Montana to Lynden Washington when the plane they were  in crashed into the wilderness.  Her grandparents were, tragically, killed in the crash.

Autumn walked away from the plane and somehow, amazingly, traveled countless miles through untamed wilderness, through darkness and rain, bugs and scary monsters in the woods (I mean unknown animals). She fell off cliffs, scaled waterfalls and found her way to safety down one of the hardest terrains in Washington State.

She is the strongest most resilient 16 year old that I know. I don't know a single person that could pull off what she has accomplished.

In the crash she lost so much that is important to her. Most importantly she lost her Grandparents. She tells me that they were amazing people that cared for her so much for her in the short time she knew them. The emotional trauma from that alone will take a lot of time to heal, not to mention the toll this all took on her body and spirit with what she had to accomplish.

Autumn is going to need time to heal. Medical bills and counseling are going to be expensive for her father who is on a limited income.
Thank you all so very much for your prayers and your energies and your love and support. We are so grateful for every single one of you!
