Reachout Network Ministries are asking our partners and friends to help us in spreading the love of Christ by supporting us with our mission in helping one of our longest attending clients on his path to freedom.
When we first met M over 10 years ago he was sleeping rough on the streets of Birmingham. He was felt hopeless and desolate after suffering from abuse and loss his whole life. His way of dealing with this grief and pain was alcohol.
Since we have met M, we have worked with him and supported him in getting off the streets. He is currently receiving very basic support through the local authority, however, this support will soon run out and M faces life on the streets again.
Last year, M, lost his daughter - after his first daughter was killed in a car accident at the age of 6 this was his only other child. This utterly devestated him to the point where he felt his own life was not worth living. Yet, as a Christian he has clung on to the little faith he has left and is self managing his alcohol addiction.
Although he is doing really well with managing his addiction, he suffers very dark and lonely days and he is in desperate need of residential rehabilitation. We have found him a wonderful placement which we know will help him with his desire to be set free, once and for all, from alcohol addiction and not only that, the rehabilitation program will support M in dealing with his loss and eventually get him back into work.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for M and we need to raise the funds for the first 24 weeks at the rehabilitation, after that he will receive state funding. Please can you find it in your hearts to support M on his path to freedom. Any donation is so much appreciated and we will keep you updated with this progress.
