guatemala summer mission trip !

Hi, my name is Ellie Unzueta! I am 18 years old, a freshman at Southeastern University, and play on the women’s soccer team! I am so grateful to have to opportunity to go with my church, First Baptist Church of Lake Wales, to Guatemala this summer! The trip will be from June 20-27. We will be serving in lots of different ways including ministering to children at local schools, delivering food, participating in construction projects, and praying with and showing the love of Jesus to the people of Guatemala.

I feel called to go on this mission trip because I believe Jesus makes our call to missions and discipleship very clear in Matthew 28 when he tells his followers “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19). I believe that as Christians, we are called to use our life, talents, and resources as means to show the love, light, and joy of Jesus to those around us. Participating in this trip provides me another opportunity and platform to do just that!

I am praying for this trip and excited to see how God uses it to further His Kingdom and my walk with Him! Thank you so much for your support!
