Wetwork is an action/drama web series. The story follows Benjamin Maddox, a government assassin, who has been given an ambiguous assignment that causes him to question the motives behind it. His superiors decide to go after him and his target in order to silence them. On the run and short on time, Ben must fight to keep himself and the others in his care safe.
Filming an action series on a slim budget is tight but still completely possible. Any donation helps make this production a reality.
Many of us are also donating time and talent to this production and are seeing it through. We believe that strongly in it! Some of our cast and crew will not be able to donate their time without financial compensation, and we need to reward their work on this project. Their hard work and dedication is helping make this series a reality. We would also like to be able to help pay for the upkeep of their equipment.
There are some places that make for the perfect setting but at times have a surcharge. In order to get these locations, we often have to pay some sort of fee. We need your help in this area to make this project look awesome!
We want to provide quality food! A fed cast and crew is a happy cast and crew! We don’t want to see anyone go hungry on our set and would like to show our gratitude by providing meals during long shoots.
When filming an action series, you need to have plenty of backup costuming for the clothes you know will be getting dirty or caked with makeup. We need the funds to buy materials to make fake blood, scars, etc. to give the project an authentic feel.
The rest of our money will go to paying for other miscellaneous items that may pop up once filming begins.
My love of film is what has been keeping me going these past few years. This new idea has been gnawing at me, desperate to get on screen. I want to share this passion with others and give them a series that will knock their socks off! I can only say thank you for taking the time to consider donating to our project. I promise that you won’t be disappointed!
This initial goal is to get the funds for the pilot episode. When we reach our goal, with your help, we can determine if this is the right amount for the budget for each individual episode. Thank you for your time and support!
My name is Stephen Gesinski, and I love telling stories through the format of film. The nearest theater was thirty minutes away from where I lived and going to see a movie was a real treat for me (still is). When I went to university in 2009, I took a screenwriting class and loved the idea of making films. My professor was clearly sure I was going to make a film within the year. He was not far off! I acted in my first film while taking my screenwriting class. I fell in love with being on set and seeing it all come together. Two years later I wrote and directed my first short film. I have made five short films and one web series.
