Brigitte

Hello,  I'm Celeste.  I'm a friend, I'm a daughter, and I'm a mother.  So the words I have to say now are said with more difficulty than imagineable.  I have put off updating this account for days...waiting for a miracle. Our Brigitte has been battling breast cancer for a few years now. In true Brigitte fashion, she has been a fighter through and through. She is still fighting for her life as I speak these words to you. She is one amazing woman.  Despite her fight, her health is declining, it seems she is losing this battle.  I couldn't state this aloud, you see, because I know how strong she is and that by a miracle she would pull through again.  Many of us have been to visit her, loving on her and praying over her.  This is a woman that means the world to us.  Unfair is the word that resonates constantly with me, and is felt within every heart that knows her.  I'm writing to ask for support.  Brig's family needs all of our support.  Landon is being so strong even knowing how not well mommy is.  I saw him yesterday, he was playing with another child laughing and running as children do. But he is surely scared and confused, he is just 8.  Brigitte's mother is beside herself.  Landon relies on his grandmother to bring consistency and security to his life, and she does, selflessly during what is an unthinkable amount of pain. No doubt where Brigitte got her strength from.  This family needs support and love.  All that we can offer.  I ask you to donate whatever it is that you can.  I think we should give Brigitte's family an early Christmas.  I'd like to do this very soon.  Let's raise some money to make this possible.  Let's put some light into their days, for all of the light they have put into ours.
