Zara's new horse fund

Zara Staples is an extremely talented 16 year old girl who very sadly lost her horse in an eventing accident on 10th June.
Zara has been riding since she was born and has become an extremely competent horsewoman with a promising career in eventing. She started off in pony club at a very young age and enjoyed mounted games for many years. It was at the age of 11 the eventing bug took hold. Lack of budget having always been an issue she found Bobby. A fantastic dressage pony but cheap as he had sweet itch and a huge buck. After much hard work, he became a great pony club event pony competing at Area novice level and giving Zara her first BE experience, and winning it!
After Bobby it was time to move on and again with virtually no funds Furistos Lad (Bug) was found, cheap as he was slightly older and “quirky”, but a machine cross country (if you could get him in the start box) Zara has progressed so much in the 18 months she had had him from cantering practically the whole of her first dressage test to finishing 2nd in her first Novice at Borde Hill just at the end of May. It was only 2 weeks after this that sadly Bug had to be put down after an accident at BCA.
Zara is a hardworking, dedicated, determined girl who works 2 jobs to pay her own BE entries and often rides at 5am with very limited facilities. She has her pony club B test and in what should have been a fantastic summer having just finished her GCSE’s and finding out she had been selected to represent BE South East U18 at Frickley Park in July, she finds herself tragically horseless. Let’s try and do all we can to help her.
