zap goes to graduate school!

After all these years, I finally have the desire, matched up with 4 of the 5 mandatory things in place, in order for me to go to graduate school in dance!

THE 5 MANDATORY THINGS:
1. I want to learn in their program
2. The school allows me to prove my 28 year career, with the college I did attend, equals an undergraduate degree (cuz I  never finished college, y'all...)
3. The school promotes inter-disciplinary arts
4. It is a low residential program
5. I get a full scholarship

I bet you can guess which number didn't line up!

Hollins University accepted me and awarded me scholarships for almost a third of the costs!!! So, I am asking my communities for help me pay the rest of my tuition.

and yes, literally any bit helps!

The Low Residency Program allows me to continue being a working artist during the year, and I have several incredible projects and residencies in the works for 2018. Hollins is the best fit and I am so excited to go!....and really proud to be accepted.

I need to raise a lot.

I need help with tuition, room and board on the cheap side, travel, books, school fees. I am very hopeful that I will find other scholarships and I am looking everyday. My first tuition payment is June 10th. Here is the skinny about the costs:

I know that this focused immersed time with peers and mentors in this field of study will change my life. It will also give me the ability to teach where I am unable to teach now. It will take my art and what I offer to my communities I am so lucky to be part of, to a higher, more impactful, level.
I feel it in my bones.
