Zakiya's Road To The Olympics

Zakiya Rashid's "Road to the Olympics"...Zakiya has been on an amazing journey in Track & Field and she is still working hard to seize her dream. She has dedicated her Life to accomplishing her goal of making it to the Olympics, so that she can proudly represent for America. Zakiya started seriously competing at the tender age of 11. She joined a track club in Virginia by the name of "Real Deal Track Club" and the coaches place her in the Shot Put and the Discus field events. Within Zakiya's 1st year of competing in AAU, she won a Gold Medal & a National Title at the AAU Junior Olympic Games in Des Moines, Ia. Since then, Zakiya has been named "All-State" four times at the High school level and she will be a Junior in the coming year at Nansemond River H.S. Zakiya made the All-National Team at the 2012 USATF Jr. Olympic Games and was most recently named "Player of the Week" beating out two other amazing athletes at the 2013 Group AAA Eastern Region Outdoor Championship. Zakiya Rashid's Dream is to one day compete at the Olympic Games. Her Hopes are that you will donate funds out of the kindness of your heart, whatever amount you can donate, so that she can continue Training, Competing, and Traveling to these critical Track Meets on her "Road to the Olympics". Zakiya's wishes are, that you will support her Hard Work Ethics on the field, Diligent Study in the Class Room, and drive to compete and succeed at the next level in a Major Way!
