Zach's Medical Expenses

As many of you may know, Zach was involved in a single vehicle accident on Friday, January 23rd. He was badly injured and taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital by ambulance.
Zach suffered a laceration to his head requiring 17 staples, a broken scapula, 6 spinal processes were sheered off, his right rib cage snapped off of his spine, 10 of them broke in the front, and one punctured his lung.
Zach signed up for ACA health insurance but it does not go into effect until February 1st. The driver of the vehicle has bare minimum insurance. Zach went through that coverage the first day.
He is going to be left with very large bills to pay. There's the ambulance ride, the ER, radiology, and the huge bill from the hospital. Zach will incur further medical expenses for prescriptions, doctors visits, physical therapy, a hospital bed rental, etc. He will be out of work for at least a month during which time he will have no income for his regular bills.
